Ariana Grande attended an event in Singapore for the regional premiere of Wicked: For Good

Passionate fans of the actress are demanding that a person who jumped a barrier and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed features recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
