Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

My son advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
